June's Fried Green Tomatoes

1 medium green tomato
1 cup bread crumbs
1/2 cup flour
salt and pepper to taste
1 egg
2 ounces of half and half
Olive or cooking oil

Beat the egg and milk together. Mix flour, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper. Slice tomato to 1/4 inch thick slices. Dip slices in egg mixture and then in breadcrumb mixture. Place in hot skillet in oil. Brown on each side about 1 minute per side. Place on paper towel and serve.
